About myself and why I am interested in studying Photography at Manchester Met
I am an enthusiastic, positive girl who tries my hardest to give new oppertunities a go and keen to explore new ideas, I always try and produce work that is different to everyone else. The reason that I am so interested in studying photography at Manchester Met is because firstly I believe that this course will provide me with new challenges and tasks that will help me learn much more about the subject aswell as preparing me to become independent, as well as a group working person that shares and discovers new ideas. The culture of Manchester as well as being artistic has architectural, musical, athletic theatrical and a creative breadth throughout. Manchester is an inspiring city as it is busy and bustling with smiling faces to always help you out. To study Photography in Manchester would help me explore the cultural and artistic elements that the north has in contrast to my London life, this will help to improve my present skills to hopefully lead me onto a future career in the field perhaps working with media purposes such as magazines.
These are my portraiture pictures portraying the other side of beauty. In the first two the girl is beautiful on the outside but you can tell by the dead pan expression on her face that she is hoping for more in her life than just to be perceived as pretty. In the 3rd picture the eyes are blurred as this is an attractive part of the face, being blurred means that people can appreciate her besides the beauty she beholds.
My characteristics of an individual project is about people who have defining features all around their body. I have captured this by using vegetables as texture to show the texture and colours of a type of disease on peoples skin. |
This is my interpretation of a David Hockney Joiner.
These pictures are from my rhythms and cycles project. I went to a stables as I love horses and it is a good example of the cycle of how the horses live and work.
I have shown you a variety of my photography work, I hope you have enjoyed viewing it, Thankyou .
